James Jackson "Jack" Harris, 73, of Clarktown, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at his residence. Born November 3, 1941 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a son of the late Lewis Dee and Ada (Barnes) Harris, he was a retired electrician for Local No. 575. He was a truck driver, an Army veteran and was a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Dolores A. (Marshall) Harris; a son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Amy Harris of Sadieville, Kentucky; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Joey Gipson, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Pam and Jim Wilkinson of Nebraska; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-children, Vicki Cooper, Laura Schmidt of Portsmouth, Manuel Peterson of Springfield, Joey Ratcliff of Columbus, Buddy Harmison of Springfield; two sisters, Linda McGlone of Rubyville, Betty Landes of Sacramento, CA , and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Timothy L. Harris; two brothers, Lewis and John, and a sister Carol.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Burial will be in Rosemount Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
