Joe Baker, Jr. 83, of Gephart Road, Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at his residence. Born December 29, 1935 in Pikeville, Kentucky, a son of the late Joseph and Oma (Mullins) Baker, he was an Army Veteran, a self-employed carpenter and attended Camp Bennett Christian Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean (Ray) Baker; a son Billy Baker of Wheelersburg; a daughter, Patty Baker-Howard, of Sciotoville; 8 grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Baker, Buck Baker and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Clifton J. Baker and Gregory Baker, his siblings, Wilma Lee Parker, Marie Blackburn, Loretta Holsinger, Ethel Thacker, Flora Reed, Effie Hale, J. C. Maynard, Ferrell Maynard, Bobby Maynard, Van Baker and Hi Maynard.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastors, Rick Mollett, Roy Chaffin and Donnie Evans officiating.
