Obituary

Aniul S. Pitts, 88, of Minford passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at his residence. Born June 29, 1928 in Scioto County, a son of the late William and Kathleen (Poole) Pitts, he was a strip miner for Gunning Refractories in South Webster and was a member of Mt. Carmel Community Church. He is survived by his wife, Edith (Copas) Fitzpatrick Pitts; two sons, Wendall Pitts, Larry Pitts; four daughters, Doris Hall, Loretta Payne, Connie Toland, Louise Alderman; three step-sons, Gary Fitzpatrick, Ed Fitzpatrick, Tim Fitzpatrick; one step-daughter, Pat Wiget; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (Osborne) Pitts; a daughter, Maxine Pitts; a step-son, Roger Watson; a grandson, Ricky Hall; a great grandson, Timothy Carpenter; a son-in-law, Roy Toland; five brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Burial will be at White Gravel Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
