Anthony David Gilliland, 52 of Portsmouth passed away Monday, September 20, 2021. He was born November 4, 1968 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of Judy Gearheart Gilliland and the late Glenn Thomas Gilliland, Jr. He was a 1987 Valley High School and SCJVS graduate and worked in construction.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jamie Gilliland; five children, Anthony "AJ" Gilliland, Jr., Nicolas Gilliland, Glenna "Brea" Gilliland, Halee Gilliland, Heather (Josh) Queen; one grandson, Eli Slark; three sisters, Gina (John Bender), Angela (David) Green, Julie (Anthony) Egerton; two brothers, Glenn Thomas "Tommy" (Kelly) Gilliland, Matthew (Angie) Gilliland; a sister-in-law, Tammy Gilliland; two brothers-in-law, Aaron Gleim, Andrew Gleim, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joey Dennis Gilliland.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Bonser Run Christian Baptist Church with Pastor Marty Jacobs officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
