Barbara P. Horner, 73, of Minford, went to be with the Lord, peacefully with her family by her side, Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at SOMC Hospice. She was born May 5, 1951 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Dale E. and Alberta Rolfe Powell, she was a Homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, David Horner; one daughter, Christie (Steve) Whisman; two grandsons, Isaac Whisman and Aaron Whisman; three sisters, Naomi (James) Morgan; Juanita (Dean) Compton; and Karen (Joe) Ward.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Lynn Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home with Jimmy Jones officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Minford.
