Bessie Mae Williams, 92, of Hillview Retirement Center, a former Stockdale resident, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Hillview Retirement Center. Born August 6, 1923 in Meigs County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank D. and Emma (Saul) Douglas, she was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Gary) Adrian, Shelia Turner; a son, Curtis (Beth) Williams; five grandchildren, Scott, Staci, Heather, Hillary, Bryan, and six great grandchildren, Cameron, Kalie, Maria, Sara, Kennedy, and Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Windle Curtis Williams, on April 14, 2000; a daughter in infancy, Sharon K. Williams; a grandson, Bryan Fielder, and two sisters, Apha Bailey and Ola St. Clair. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Dan King officiating. Burial will be at Beaver Union Cemetery in Beaver, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
