Betty J. Bevins, 86, of Stockdale, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born November 4, 1929 in Beaver, a daughter of the late Richard and Virginia Ellen McCoy Webb, she was a retired school teacher at Stockdale School and was of the Christian faith. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James "JC" Bevins; one son, John (Leslee) Bevins of Lucasville; one daughter, Marsha Bevins of Jasper, and two grandchildren, Lauren Bevins and Lacey Bevins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William A. Webb, Monroe Webb and John Webb. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Rodney Bapst officiating. Burial will be at Beaver Union Cemetery in Beaver. Friends my call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
