Bobby Joe Conley, 77, of Portsmouth, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 16, 2015. He was born April 24, 1937 in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Dewey and Jessie Conley. He served in the United States Air Force, retired from Portsmouth Fire Department, and attended Bloom Free Will Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time at the flea markets, bringing smiles across many faces with his snow cones, and talking to anyone who came by. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was and is loved by many; he would do anything for anyone. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Kinker. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Hayzlip) Conley whom he married on January 2, 1960. He is also survived by his children, Kim (John Fyffe) Conley, Dan (Zoni) Conley, and J.D. (Shannon) Conley; his grandchildren, Hannah (Scott), Amanda (Logan), Stephanie, and Shawn; his great grandchildren, Mikayla, Damien, Brady, Katie, Shawn, Jr., Adrianna and Beth; his sisters, Betty (Paul) Means, Anna Lou Caudill, and Donna Sue Wray; a special nieces, Cheryl Dryden, and many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank his VA nurses who made regular visits to the house to care for him and who showed their loving spirits, Jerri Treadway and Eric Hensley. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Bloom Free Will Baptist Church in South Webster with Kenny Klaiber and Richard North officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
