Obituary

Brenda Kay (Traylor) Evans, 75, of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Concord Health & Rehab in Wheelersburg. She was born October 29, 1950, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late William Howard and Mary Frances Traylor.

Brenda will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a woman whose care and devotion were felt most deeply by those closest to her. Her life was centered on family, and her presence brought warmth, comfort, and enduring love to the generations gathered around her.

She is survived by one daughter, Roxanne (Randy) Anderson; one son, Danny (Zella) Evans; four grandchildren, Amy Anderson, Faith (Ramsey) Sites, Hunter Evans, and Randal Anderson, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Brenda is also survived by her sisters, Denise (Tim) Bowling and Cathy (Durward) Chandler, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Gene" Evans, and a sister and brother-in-law, Diane (Bob) Howerton.

Brenda’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank Concord Health & Rehab and SOMC Hospice for the excellent care.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2026 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
