Charleigh Jayne Smith passed away Monday, August 21, 2023 at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus. She was born August 16, 2023 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, a daughter of Kyler and Sarah Poplin Smith.

In additon to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Brenda (Tony Marcum) Poplin; maternal grandfather, Charles (Rhonda) Poplin; paternal grandparents, Jason & Carla Smith; her aunts, Kara Smith, Halee Hammonds, Amelia Marcum; her uncle, Isaac Poplin; maternal great grandmother, Beverly Conley; paternal great grandfathers, Carl (Sandy) Tackett, Harold Lilly, and a special great great aunt, Betty Tackett. She was preceded in death by maternal great grandfather, Vernon Conley; paternal great grandmother, Jane Cable Lilly, and maternal great grandparents, John & Elizabeth Poplin.

A graveside service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Lilly Family Cemetery, 4335 Henley Deemer Road, McDermott, Ohio 45652 with Pastor Andy Day officiating. Immediately following the service a memorial dinner will be at God & Country Church, 182 Moulton Place in Lucasville.
