Charles "Hazel" Montgomery, 96 of Minford passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at his residence. He was born October 22, 1925 in Magoffin County, KY, a son of the late Doc and Southa Russell Montgomery. He was a farmer, drove a delivery truck and worked for the railroad. He is survived by his wife, Frances Born Montgomery; three daughters, Mary Etterling, Margaret Brown, Sandy McCann; three sons, Randy Montgomery, Mark Montgomery, Mike Montgomery; many, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; two brothers, LeRoy Montgomery, Arnold Montgomery, and two sisters, Phyllis Greene and Anna Ruth Dalton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Charles Montgomery, Jr., Dave Montgomery, James Montgomery; one daughter, Deborah Horner, and five brothers, Coy, Troy, Jessie, Wayne and James Montgomery. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Blaine Etterling officiating. Burial will be in White Cemetery.
