Cora Belle Reese, 89, of Wheelersburg passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2017 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Born July 30, 1928 in Wayne, WV, a daughter of the late Elmer and Pearlina (Maynard) Miller, she was a homemaker and attended Tick Ridge Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Carl (Kathy) Reese of Wheelersburg; a daughter, Karen (Les) Dawson of Wheelersburg; four grandchildren, Shawnessy Reese, Steve (Nikki) Reese, Matthew Dawson, Jeffrey (Julie) Dawson; three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Jacob, and Cameron Dawson, and two step great-grandchildren, Abby and Emma Stone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Ernest Reese; a brother, George Miller, and a sister, Nellie Knight. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Rick Arthur officiating. Burial will be at Pyle Cemetery in Minford.
