Darrell Ray Bragdon, 67, of Beaver, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his residence surrounded by family. Born May 9, 1948 in Scioto County, a son of the late Stanley S. and Katie Madden Bragdon and he was a painter. He loved draft horses, logging and was an accomplished musician, and loved playing the mandolin. He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Wayne) Hacker of Beaver and Amanda (Savannah) Bragdon of Beaver; three grandchildren, Cameron Pope, Alexis Ratliff and Trenton Ratliff; two brothers, David Bragdon and Mike Bragdon both of Lucasville; four sisters, Rowena Risner of Wheelersburg, Patricia Smith of Grove City, Nancy Hatzipavlis of Waverly, and Dedra Endicott of Waverly; special brother-in-law, Keith Ison, and special friend, William Winn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ison Bragdon; three brothers, Eugene Bragdon, Victor Bragdon, Burl Bragdon, and four sisters, Frances Munson, Golda Wheeler, Sheila McQuithy, and Cleo Schooley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Maurice Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Stockdale Cemetery.
