David Estel Collins, 59, of Minford passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at St Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Born April 9, 1958 in Scioto County, a son of Faye (Norman) McGinnis and the late Estel Collins, he was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 577 and was of the Christian faith. In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by a son, David E. Collins, Jr. of Sciotoville; a daughter, Amy (Wade) Coriell of Minford; four grandchildren, Tyler Daniel Speas, Sydney Danyelle Speas, Laken Marie Collins, Gage David Collins; a sister, Debra Collins of Sciotoville, and a nephew, Anthony "Tony" Sowards of Portsmouth. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Art Perkins officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
