Obituary

Deloris Ann Havens, 79, of Minford passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Heartland of Portsmouth. Born April 23, 1936, a daughter of the late John and Garnet Groves, she was a graduate of Clay High School, had worked at the Scioto County Recorder's Office, was a member of the Scioto County Democratic Party and attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness. She is survived by a son, Bryan (Theresa) Havens of Minford; three daughters, Rhonda Allard (Gary Howell) of Portsmouth, Denise Havens of Wheelersburg, Pamela (Barry) Mullins of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren, Michele Bihl, Adina Frye, Trista Allard, Janelle Ridout, Craig, Gabe & Keenan Havens, and Mercedes Dye; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Loretta Rhoden and Ida Mae Rhoden both of Dayton; a brother, John "Jr." Groves of Tennessee, and a special friend, George Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Edwin "Mope" Havens on March 10, 1991; a grandson, Brent R. Havens, and a sister, Betty Moritz. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Burial will be at Squire Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
