Donald R. Ward, 81 of Minford, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Rosemount Pavilion after a brief illness. He was born February 4, 1942 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Charles E. and Lena Carter Ward. He was a 1961 graduate of Portsmouth High School and was an Army veteran. He was of the Christian faith.

Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sondra Knore Ward; one daughter, Michelle Cutlip; granddaughter, Abigail Cutlip all of Minford; one sister, Sharon Coburn of Portsmouth, and several nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Eric Steven; his twin sister, Patricia Bradley, and five siblings in infancy.

The family would like to thank the staff of Rosemount Pavilion and ProMedica Hospice for the excellent care given to Don during the past few months.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Minford United Methodist Church with Pastor Dennis Bell officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Memorial Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Minford United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.
