Dorothy Hall (Spears) passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, at the age of 93. Born on November 16, 1930, in Floyd, Kentucky, Dorothy was a cherished member of her family and a devout follower of her faith. Dorothy's life was marked by her love for Jesus, her joy in tending to her flower beds, and her passion for antiques. Her warm, engaging conversations touched all who knew her, leaving lasting memories of her kindness and spirited character. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph A. (Debbie) Hall and James E. (Debbie) Hall; three daughters, Sandra Kaye Powell, Linda (Michael) Newsome, and Connie Pool; 13 grandchildren, Antoinette (Kim) Justice, Camille (Bruce) Saylor, Mia (Bryan) Bennedetti, DeAnna (Danny) Page, Jacinta (Beto) Oliviera, Aaron (Laura) Newsome, Crystal Hawkins, Kelly (Chris) Lester, Corey Hall, Alysia (Tim) Conkel, Brittany (Eric) Hayslip, Curtis (Brittany) Hall, Christina Hall; 23 great-grandchildren, Christin Campbell, Austin (Shyanna) Justice, Chase Justice, Ashley Saylor, Apollos Bennedetti, Madison Page, Annelise Page, Landon Newsome, Adley Newsome, Cameron Hess, Kyle Hess, Isabella Lester, Tyler Hawkins, Nevaeh Hayslip, Raelynn Hayslip, Aaliyah Hayslip, Erika Hayslip, Ava Grace Conkel, Brenley Nicholson, Blaze Nicholson, Harley Neace, Kolton Neace, and Dorothy Opal Hall; and 1 great- great grandchild, Walker Blake Justice. Dorothy's legacy of love will continue to live on through her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Hall; her parents; five brothers, Harry Spears, Ed Spears, Jack Spears, Fred Spears and Herbert Cecil; two sisters, Flora Mae Cecil and Viola Spears; and sons-in-law, Scottie Pool and Donnie Powell. A graveside service to honor and remember Dorothy will be held at Ferguson Cemetery in Harold, Kentucky, on Friday, June 28th at 3:00 pm. Erwin Dodson Allen Funeral Home in Minford, Ohio, is assisting the family with arrangements. Dorothy's life was a beautiful testament to her values and the love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
