Dwight Lee Shoemaker, 83 , of Portsmouth, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 at his residence. He was born May 4, 1942 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Frank E. and Dorotha M. (Poole) Shoemaker, and was a former owner/operator of Shoemakers Sohio Service Station in Minford. Dwight was a U.S. Army veteran and attended Portsmouth SDA.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Dillow) Shoemaker; one son, Dwight David Shoemaker; one daughter, Megan Maria Freedman, and one sister, Diana Shoemaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Duane Shoemaker.
