Edgar Scott Lute, 74, of Galena, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus. Born November 24, 1942 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Doran and Margaret Mae Bramblette Lute, he was a truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran. Edgar was an avid race car fan, driver and car builder. He is survived by his daughter, Kandy (Victor) Butler of Galena; two sons, Michael (Charlotte) Lute of Georgia, Luther Lute of Columbus; five grandchildren; one great grandson; one brother, William Lute of Lucasville; two sisters, Donna Anderson of Utah, Mary Jane Lute of Minford, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Lute. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Derreck Lute officiating. Burial will be at Lute Cemetery.
