Emma "Ruth" Bayes, 82 of South Webster passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at her residence. Born January 16, 1939 in Blaine, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Bernard and Anna Lee Scarberry VanHoose and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Bayes; one daughter, Sheila Conley; two grandchildren, Andrea (Billy) Burriss, Charles Kallner; many great grandchildren; one sister, Marlene Kelly; two brothers, Larry VanHoose, Steve VanHoose, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Howell and Kathy Blackburn.

Funeral services will be conducted at Noon Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Burial will be in South Webster Cemetery.
