Obituary

Ethel Jane (Skaggs) Bobst, 88, of New Boston went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born September 21, 1929 to the late Henry and Eva (Messer) Skaggs in Greenup Co., KY. She was a homemaker, a devoted pastor's wife, she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Glenn Bobst, whom she married March 9, 1951 in Wheelersburg; two sons, Richard (Sheila) Bobst of Minford, Harold (Truda) Bobst of Lucasville; a daughter, Cindy (Wayne) Baldridge of Sciotoville; six grandchildren, Jason (Christy) Bobst, David (Miranda) Bobst, Amber (Jeremy) Hall, Jonathan (Jessica) Bobst, Jennifer (Ryan) Copp, Adam Baldridge, and five great grandchildren, Jenna and Ryland Bobst, Kaity Hall, Benjamin Copp, Madelynn Baldridge. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Noah, Russell, Ora, and Wade Skaggs, and sisters, Mabel Rowe, Martha Hatfield, Hazel Bellamy, Dora Messer, and Myrtle Skaggs. The family would like to thank Heritage Square and SOMC Hospice for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Rev. Ron Parker officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
