Florest Elizabeth Cales, 82 of Lucasville passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at SOMC Hospice. She was born October 8, 1938 in Minford, a daughter of the late Rev. Ben and Annie L. Brooks Bird and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph L. Cales, Daniel B. Cales, David M. Cales; four grandchildren, Joseph W. Cales, Sarah Elizabeth Cales, Jessica Ann Fullington, Daniel Ryan Cales; two great grandchildren, Maverick Cales, Emilia Cales, and two sisters, Bonnie Charles and Judy Comer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Cales on September 1, 2001; daughter-in-law, Vicki Ann Cales; one brother, Benjamin Harry Bird, and one sister, Hilda Phillips.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Squire Cemetery in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
