Obituary

Frank E. Brown, 95, of Lucasville went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 4, 2016 at his residence. Born June 29, 1920 in Minford, a son of the late Charles H. and Susie Myrtle Wilson Brown, he was a painter and was a member of Painters Local 555 in Portsmouth. He was a member of William A. Baker Post No. 363 American Legion in Lucasville and was a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran. He is survived by two daughters, Jeanie (Bob) Tieman and Denise Kearney both of Lucasville; two sons, Gary (Kitty) Brown of Lucasville and Charles (Debra) Brown of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, Scott Tieman, Amy Mullens, Chris Brown, Rachael Carter, Becky Brown, Joshua Brown, Erica Hixson, Jessica Hermiller, Holly Robison, and Steven Kearney; 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Mae McGowan Brown on September 17, 2008 whom he married July 25, 1944; one brother, William Brown, and two sisters, Evelyn Milar and Ruth Bramblette. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastors Calvin Ray Evans and Brian Baer officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Military graveside rites will be conducted by William A. Baker Post No. 363 and James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
