Gerald Lee "Jerry" Bailey, 64 of Portsmouth passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at SOMC ER. He was born October 19, 1958 in Portsmouth, a son of the late James G. and Ilene Williams Bailey, he was a retired firefighter and EMTA at the Atomic Plant. Jerry was a member of the Bowling Association for 40 years and a volunteer firefighter for Rubyville Fire Department.

He is survived by two sons, James (Jessica) Bailey, Jared (Christina) Bailey; one daughter, Andrea Bailey; seven grandchildren, Andrew Wade Bailey, Audrina Turner, Braxton McNutt, Alexis Belcher, Harper Bailey, Peyton Bailey, and Elena Bailey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Sam Bailey officiating. A private family burial will be at Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
