Gladys Geneva Conkel, 73 of Portsmouth passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at BridgePort in Portsmouth. She was born September 28, 1949 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Raymond and Edna Mae Schomburg Conkel, was a former employee of Staples Warehouse, and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 105 in London, Ohio.

She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Thompson, Curleen Pinson, Darlene Skinner, Linda (Joe) Riley; her brother, Eugene (Judy) Conkel, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Longberry and Karen Conkel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Bernie Twinam officiating.  Burial will be at Harrison Furnace Cemetery in Minford.
