Gladys M. Aldridge Stewart, 94, of Portsmouth passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at her daughter's home. She was born January 15, 1921 in Lawrence County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Arbaugh Stumbo. She is survived by two sons, Michael (Theda) Aldridge and Keith Stewart; two daughters, Linda Mart (Don) and Ginger Gaines; 23 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren, five daughters-in-law, Mary, Joann, Dolly, Sharon and Linda. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Calvin Aldridge and her 2nd husband, Delbert Stewart; four sons, Bob Aldridge, Earl Aldridge, John Aldridge and Don Aldridge; three brothers, Gene Stumbo, Johnny Stumbo and Clarence Stumbo; three sisters, Mary Ellen Phillips, Margaret Camp and Hazel Stumbo; two sons-in-law, James Mart and Gary Gaines, Sr., and two daughters-in-law, Geri Aldridge and Hazel Aldridge. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Jack Lore officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ironton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
