Eddy
Aug 12, 1946 — Jun 28, 2026
Glenn Carroll Eddy, 79, of Minford, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
He was born on August 12, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Glenice (Barrett) Eddy Hardwick.
A 1964 graduate of Clay High School, Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal and qualified as an Expert Rifle Marksman. Following his military service, he became a certified welding instructor at the vocational school and later worked for Norfolk Southern Railway.
Glenn was a faithful member and deacon of Twin Valley Church, where he served the Lord and his church family with humility, devotion, and unwavering faith. He also had a lifelong love of automobiles and found great joy in working on cars, talking about them, and sharing that passion with others.
Above all, Glenn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He filled the lives of those around him with warmth, kindness, and steadfast love. His quiet strength, generous heart, and steadfast faith left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wilma (Richmond) Eddy; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Heather Eddy; his cherished grandchildren, Kai and Rian; his sisters, Carolyn Janney of Columbus, Linda (Joe) Gilliam of Columbus, Billie Golden of Florida, Caroljean Thomas of Pittsburgh, and Carolyn Louise Himes of California.
Glenn was preceded in death by William Eddy, William “Bill” Houston, Louis Carroll Himes and Glenice Hardwick.
Glenn’s legacy is found not only in his accomplishments but in the love he shared, the relationships he nurtured, and the example of faith, integrity, and compassion he lived each day. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever honored.
