Helen Jean Cordle, 83, of Minford, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her residence. Born November 17, 1932 in Scioto County, daughter of the late Walter Dayton and Donna Blackburn Burchett, she was a homemaker, had worked for Minford Feed & Supply, owned and operated a restaurant in the Minford Area and attended Harrison Free Will Baptist Church. She loved writing, art and quilting. She is survived by her husband, William Cordle; three sons, Billy Joe (Pat) Cordle of Richwood, William Gregory Cordle of Minford, Jeffrey Cordle of Minford; two daughters, Donna (Harold) Blaine of Minford and Gwen (Kenny) Webb of Jackson; ten grandchildren, Harold Blaine, Jr., Billy Joe Cordle, II, Melissa (Mark) Watters, Michael (Brandi) Cordle, Brenda (Gerald) Boston, Misty (Dave) Snyder, April (Tommy) Walker, Jenny (Jerry) Sowards, Stephanie Lundy, and Keith Webb; many great grandchildren; one sister, Joy Lambert and one brother, Walter (Alice) Burchett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Kendra Suzzanne Walker; one great grandson, Ashton Roger Sowards; two brothers, Glen and Paul Burchett, and one sister, Mary Mayfield. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Jimmy Dummitt officiating. Burial will be at White Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
