Helen Delores Hinze, 87 of Minford passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at SOMC ER. She was born January 1, 1936 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Ralph and Elnora Wolfe Nagle, she was a former employee of Minford Retirement Center, Heritage Square, Heartland of Portsmouth, Select Dairy in Portsmouth and The Hamburger Inn. She was a member of Lucasville Garden Club, a volunteer at Southern Ohio Medical Center and attended North Moreland United Methodist Church and Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.

Helen is survived by two nieces, Martha (Paul) Oberley of Minford, Kathy Phillips of Sacramento, CA; two nephews, Dennis Nichols of Merced, CA, Donny Hayton of Portsmouth; several great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Hinze on January 6, 1999; two sons in infancy; two sisters, Beatrice Nichols and Donna Hayton, and one nephew, David Hayton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
