Our family hero, Herman Salisbury, ran his race well and has gained eternal peace. He was born to Dial and Rebecca Salisbury on October 14, 1929 in Langley, Kentucky. He spent his life proud of his Kentucky heritage. It was after his family made a move to Ohio that he met Tharlene Colegrove. The two were married on June 15, 1948. They raised two children, Joey and Susan. The couple spent many years singing on the radio and in area churches. He devoted his life to his family and to building bridges with Dial Construction Company, a company formed by he and his brothers. He was known by all as a strong, hard-working man. He taught us well through his passion to help the less fortunate. Until the day of his passing on December 27, 2016, he enjoyed his 5 grandchildren and loved watching the life and energy in his 8 great-grandchildren. His lifelong friend and "buddy" resides at Minford Retirement Center. Services were held at the convenience of the family.
