Hollice (Holly) Lorraine (Walls) Thacker, 61, of Minford passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the University Hospital of Cincinnati due to an ongoing illness. She was born November 30, 1953 in Chillicothe, preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Evelyn Shoemaker Walls on July 12, 1969 and Emmitt Roy Walls on May 28, 1979. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann (Walls) Southworth on June 30, 2012, and her former husband, Ronald Lee Thacker on February 26, 1999. Holly was a graduate of Eastern High School in 1971. She retired from Big Bear Company and managed the Deli Department eighteen years. Holly was an avid reader, who enjoyed all types of sports from racing to football. She took great pride in the education and knowledge of her children and grandchildren. Holly enjoyed watching her grandchildren at home and in sports. Holly is survived by a sister, Pamela (Richard) Vallery; one brother-in-law, Jack Southworth; two sons, Jonas (Kristie) Thacker and Colin (Heather) Thacker; five grandchildren, Hannah, Micah, Deagan, Cameron and Ava who all loved her very much, two nephews, Josh (Christy) Adams and Luke (Tara) Southworth, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Burial will be at Beaver Union Cemetery in Beaver. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers please consider the needs of the family.
