Irene Marie (Honaker) Freeland, 81, of Lucasville went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her residence. Born January 14, 1936 in Cove Gap, WV, a daughter of the late Ted R. and Norma Wiley Honaker, she married the love of her life James R. Freeland on September 5, 1953. She was a homemaker who loved flowers and doing crafts and attended Rubyville Community Church. She is survived by two sons, Charles D. (Jennifer) Freeland of Minford, Raymond R. Freeland of Minford; two daughters Connie (Lee) Howie of Lucasville, Sandy B. Freeland of Columbus; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Rudd, Jason Stout, Jeremy (April) Freeland, Jamie (Lindsay) Freeland, Jason (Renea) Freeland, James (Brittany) Freeland; Valerie Freeland, Steven Cleary and Daniel Cleary; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Honaker, Dallas Honaker, and one sister, Arlene Giles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Freeland; three brothers, George Honaker, Doyle Honaker, Denver Honaker; one sister in infancy, Hazel Honaker, and a great granddaughter, Destiny Freeland. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Rubyville Community Church with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans and Pastor Brian Baer officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
