Irene Faye Spencer, 80 of Wheelersburg, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Born June 23, 1938 in Pike County, a daughter of the late John B. Bevins and Georgia A. (O'Bryan) Bevins Childers, she had attended Wheelersburg Baptist Church. She was a 1956 graduate of Stockdale High School and a retired Register Nurse, working in California and Pike County, Ohio. She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Gwendolyn and Timothy Beeler of Yuma, Arizona; a grandson Sean (Laurie) Beeler, of Yuma, Arizona; great granddaughter, Madelyn Beeler; four brothers, J. C. Bevins of Stockdale, Robert (Vivian) Bevins of Jackson, Leon (Pat) Bevins of Lucasville, Walter Bevins of Stockdale, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Spencer, on August 7, 2014, and a sister, Charlene Slone. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Lowell King officiating.
