Jerry Lee Burton of Portsmouth passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born June 5, 1954 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Norman and Dollie Montgomery Burton. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of the Franklin Furnace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna Jean (Eldridge) Burton; two brothers, Kenneth and wife, Dallas Burton, and David Burton; three sisters, Patricia Evans, Sue Burton, and Connie Burton, and numerous nieces and nephews that were very close to him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Burton, Walter Burton, and three sisters, Norma Runyon, Rose Strickland, and Juanita Johnson.

The family would like to thank the Portsmouth Police Department and Portsmouth Fire Department for their help and kindness. Also thanks to Mose, Charlotte and Peyton Norman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be at White Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
