Joseph David Howard, 70 of Minford, went to be with the Lord on Aug 20th at the OSU Medical Center. A 1970 graduate of Valley High School, Joe then attended Ohio University before embarking on a 37 year career with the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion plant where he would retire from in 2009. His free time would often find him fishing, golfing or traveling, especially if it involved anywhere near an ocean or anyplace near his grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years Karen, his three children; Chris Howard, Brent (Emily) Howard and Lindsay (Taylor) Culbertson, his brother Phil (Wanda) Howard and Sister Jean Smith.  He also leaves his 9 grandchildren; Dalton, Lainey, Jack, Liam, Lillee, Lincoln, Taylor, Bryson, and Tate, whom he loved more than any pastime or trip in which he ever partook. He was preceded in death by his mother (Edith), his father (Richard), and his brothers (Robert & Richard). Joe attended Harrison Free Will Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure to know or even meet him. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Friday, August 26th at the Harrison Free Will Baptist Church in Minford with Pastors Mike Mounts and Phil Howard officiating.
