Joyce Irene Crider, 78, a former Friendship resident passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg. Born May 21, 1939 in Lucasville, a daughter of the late Willard Alonzo and Sarah Melinda (Salyers) Slusher, she was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She is survived by three daughters, Karolyn Newman of McDermott, OH, Linda L. Huff of Ashland, KY, and Lois Crider of Portsmouth, OH; three brothers, Kenneth Slusher of Dayton, Forrest Slusher of Latham, Milton Slusher of West Portsmouth; four sisters, Bonnie Logan of Elizabethtown, KY, Juanita Davis of Lucasville, Wanda Riffe of Marion, Kathy Blevins of Lucasville, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Wright. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.
