William C. Fannin Jr., 80, of Lucasville went to be with the Lord December 21,2015. He was born March 17, 1935 to William Clarence Sr. and Bessie (Conley) Fannin. He graduated in 1954 from Stockdale High School. He served in the United States Army. He became an Operating Engineer with Local 18 of Columbus, Ohio, spending most of his career running the paver to blacktop highways. He was a 48 year member of American Legion Post 76 of South Shore, Kentucky, and the Operating Engineers Local 18 of Columbus, Ohio for 39 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Rosalyn (Bell) , daughters and son-in laws, Tena (Conley) and Tim Alley, Tracey and Joe Bandy, granddaughter April and Steve Slusher, great grandsons Brennen and Logan Slusher all of Lucasville, Ohio, sister-in laws Shirley (Richard) Wood and Ada Bell, nieces Rebecca (Roy) Jenkins, Dawn (Jamey) Bell, nephew Brian (Ruth) Bell, and great nephew Adam Webb all of Waverly. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law Paul and Hazel Bell, brother-in-laws Paul Bell Jr. and Darrell Bell and son-in-law Boyd Conley, and one great niece Jeanetta (Bell) Good. The family would like to thank the staff of Bristol Village Rehab and National Church Residences Hospice for their special care and concern. They have provided especially great care beyond what would be expected. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Erwin Dodson Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Jimmy Dummitt officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery in Waverly, Ohio. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 11a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
