David Conley, Jr. (June), 82, of Lucasville, went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 27, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1932 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late David, Sr. and Minnie Conley. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Homer, Cecil and Howard and one sister, Alberta. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gladys Griffith Conley; one son, Roger of Lucasville and one daughter, Kathy Conley-Craft of Wilmington; two brothers, Herschel (Tana) of Lucasville and Jack of West Alexandria and one sister, Eudora of West Alexandria; three grandsons, Matthew and Brent of Lucasville and Roger, Jr. of Georgia, and four great grandchildren. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Scioto County Engineers and Madison Township where he also served as committeeman. He was a member of Victory Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union where he served as first elder for many years. He enjoyed his family, his church, hunting, fishing and his tractors. David touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Victory Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Joe Ward officiating. Burial will be in Jacobs Cemetery. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
