Floyd Swaim, Jr., 89 of Minford, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at SOMC Hospice. Born January 3, 1928 in Minford, a son of the late Floyd E. Swaim, Sr. and Minnie Aliene Brame Swaim, he was a former employee of Ray Canter Garage in Minford, Williams Shoe Co., and was a Corrections Officer at SOCF. He attended Harrison Free Will Baptist Church and was a US Navy Reserve veteran. He is survived by one son, Donald (Beverly) Swaim of Medina; one daughter, Beverly (Mel) Goetting of Minford; four grandchildren, Andy Goetting, Matt Goetting, Ash Swaim, Shaina Swaim; two step grandchildren, Jamie Farkas, Jerrod (Amy) Farkas; and, three step great grandchildren, Devin Farkas, Cash Farkas and Cain Farkas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Smith Swaim and one brother, Guy Swaim.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Mike Mounts officiating. Burial will be at Mt.
