Karen Burchett, 59 , of Minford, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Burchett, and is survived by her father, John Burchett, whom she helped care for until the end, also residing in Minford.

Karen is also survived by two daughters, Amanda Vanhoose of Minford, McKenzie (Timothy) Large of Clarktown; four grandchildren, Dakota Buckler, Kyle Boyer, Brooklynn Harris, Ellie Large; one sister, Sallie Burchett of Wheelersburg; four nephews, Adam (Jennifer) Burchett, Isaac Osborne, Joshua (Jacquelyn) Matthews, Jason Gaines; one niece, Jennifer (Justin) Edenfield; 15 great nieces and nephews; 4 great great nieces and nephews, and many, many friends and acquaintances.

Karen had dedicated her life to not only the care of her father the past few years, but to the care of her children and grandchildren, always making time to be with them and to lend an ear, day or night, regardless of her own steadily failing health.

Karen will be grieved and sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
