Obituary

Larry Bruce "Babs" Leach, 75, of Rubyville, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at SOMC. Born December 29, 1939 in Rubyville, a son of the late James and Wilma Stewart Leach, he owned and operated Leach's Service Station in Rubyville and was a member of Shumway Free Will Baptist Church where he was Sunday School Superintendent. He is survived by one son, Jerry (Jeanie) Leach of Sciotoville; two daughters, Brenda (Tim) Reed of Lucasville and Linda (Dale) Hempill of Rubyville; four granddaughters, Tiffany Hempill, Jennifer (Joe) Meyer, Kaitlynn (DJ) Baldridge and Abigail Leach; three brothers, Clyde (Janet) Leach, Arnold (Joy) Leach and Raymond Leach; a special companion, his dog Lucy, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria "Boots" (Reynolds) Leach on April 3, 2013 whom he married on February 18, 1961; two sisters, Edith Sullivan, Norma Wyrick and two brothers, Gene Leach and Ronald Leach. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastors Bob Davis and Tony Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Universal Cemetery in Rubyville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
