Laura Frances Benner, 89 , of Lucasville, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 23, 2025. She passed peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born December 22, 1935 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Hasten and Genoa (Farley) Lemaster. Laura was a former employee of Goodyear Atomic Plant, was a homemaker, and attended Rubyville Community Church.
She is survived by one son, Bradley W. (Becky) Benner; one granddaughter, Lorrie (Kenneth) Hopkins; two great grandsons, Logan Hopkins, Wyatt Hopkins; one brother, Kenneth Lemaster. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin H. Benner; one son, Jeffrey Benner; two brothers, Robert E. Lemaster, Bill Lemaster, and four sisters, Maxine Sniff, Anna Williamson, Linnie Riggs, Geraldine Zornes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Rubyville Community Church with Pastors Calvin Ray Evans and Brian Baer officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
