Leroy E. Toland, 62, of Minford, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the emergency room at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Born September 30, 1952 in Scioto County, a son of the late Leroy and Elizabeth (Spriggs) Toland, he was a retired employee for N & S Railway, and attended Mt. Carmel Community Church. He is survived by his wife, Connie (Pitts) Toland; a son, Tom (Leslie) Toland of Minford; a daughter, Jessica (Brian) Mox of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Delaney Lynn Toland, Daniel Ryan Mox; two sisters, Birdie Oliver of Gary, Indiana, Sandra Stokes of Gary, Indiana; a brother, Jim Wyant of Perry, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Iva Jane Smith, Sharon Combs, Carol Doherty, and one brother, Harry Rodger. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Jim Dummitt and Roy Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in Mt Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
