Lillian Gladys Creech Culwell Hitchcock, 73, of Waverly, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at James Cancer Center in Columbus. Born July 2, 1942 in Letcher County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Fulton and Essie Garrett Creech, she was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Jackson, was a homemaker and was of the Christian Faith.
She is survived by two sons, William Joseph (Billy Joe) Culwell and Robert Charles (Robby) Culwell both of Waverly; two brothers, Joseph "Meb (Linda) Creech of Tennessee, James Ebb (Faye) Creech of Lucasville; two sisters, Mae Mullins of Cumberland, Kentucky and Faye Roberts of Pound, Virginia; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Velma Creech.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death with two husbands, Bill Culwell and Marvin E. Hitchcock; daughter-in-law, Teresa Culwell; four brothers, Carol, Ray, Roy, Oakley "Buddy" Creech, and two sisters, Marie Turner and Ritter (Rita) Sturgill. Gladys will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Ronnie Hines officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Ridge Cemetery in Beaver.
