Lucille Casteel, 81, of Minford, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Traditions at Bristol Village in Waverly. Born June 18, 1933 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Hobert and Diadema Wheeler Lyon, she was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness Portsmouth Congregation. She is survived by three sons, Michael (Marge) Casteel, Daniel Wade (Annette) Casteel and Jess Casteel all of Michigan; two daughters, Donna (John) Kinney of Vinton and Diane (Tony) Lafferty of Minford; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Carl (Kay) Lyon of Lucasville and one sister, Ruth Bennett of Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Casteel on March 25, 2007 whom she married on May 15, 1951, and one brother, Walter Lyon. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with John Lewis officiating. Burial will be at White Gravel Cemetery in Minford.
