Obituary

Lucille Hinze, 95, of Minford, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. She was born November 8, 1919 and was a daughter of the late John Lee and Lola (Seymour) Hinze. She worked at Williams Manufacturing Company and Greenbriar Convalescent Center. Lucille attended Harrison Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by two nephews, David (Judy) Hinze of Bristolville, and John (Cheryl) Hinze of Farmington, CT, and one niece, Freda Brown, of Eden Park. In addition to her parents, three brothers, Ralph Hinze Sr., Henry "Bud" Hinze, and Clyde B. Hinze preceded her in death. Lucille was an energetic, happy woman who enjoyed life. She loved her family so much, and they loved her. Even her great niece and great nephews were very close to her and were delighted to spend time with her whenever they could. Even though Lucille wasn't a mother, she showed motherly love to them all. Lucille took pleasure in helping others in her family as well as the community, and she was always lending a hand or doing something to brighten another person's day. Those whose lives she touched will miss her greatly. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Minister Mike Mounts officiating. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com
