Macie Lee (Havens) Shumway, 90, of Minford, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her residence. Born July 25, 1924 in Pike County, Ohio, a daughter of the late James L. and Myrtle May (Vance) Havens, she was a graduate of Stockdale High School in the class of 1942 and a member of Sunshine Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, David (Karen) Shumway of Cleveland, Dwight Shumway of Columbus; two daughters, Mary Lee Justice of New Boston, Debbie (Terry) Sullivan of Portsmouth; 8 grandchildren, Tim Justice, Judy Myers, Jennifer Young, Shelia Kropp, John Shumway, George Shumway, Stephanie Hamilton, Jessica Sullivan, and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis B. Shumway, on April 6, 2008, whom she married on October 24, 1942; 4 sisters, Helen Havens, Georgia Snyder, Grace Pelfrey, Inez Rockwell; two brothers, Clinton Havens and Edwin "Bud" Havens .
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Sunshine Church of Christ with Steve Miller minister officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, and at Sunshine Church of Christ one hour prior to the service.
