Mae Mary (Cook) Rase, 96, of Minford, went to her Heavenly home surrounded by her family on Wednesday March 2, 2016. Born September 12, 1919 in Powellsville, Ohio, Mae was the youngest child of Fred and Pearl (Disterdick) Cook. Mae was a graduate of Green High school. She was a proud life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in Powellsville, Ohio where, at a church "pie social," she met the love of her life, Paul E. Rase. They wed May 20, 1939 and moved to a house on Glades Rd. in Minford that remained her residence for the next 76 years. Mae was a loving faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who took pride in her home; she was a masterful cook, but what we remember most fondly is how selflessly she nurtured all. Mae is proceeded in death by her parents; Fred and Pearl Cook, her husband Paul E. Rase, her 3 sisters; Nellie Cook, Mellie Cook and Mildred Knapp, her 2 brothers; Eldon Cook and John Cook, her grandson Caleb Paul Rase, 4 nephews and 1 niece. She is survived by her 4 children, oldest daughter Rosalie (Larry) Riddlebarger of Kettering, OH, sons Bob (Julie) Rase, Glenn Rase, and Tom (Evelyn) Rase all of Minford; 10 grandchildren, Kim (Gary) Weber, Christopher (Missy) Rase, Kelly Rase, Keri Clemons, Amber (Ryan) Adkins, Eric Green, Rob Rase, Dr. Mikell Rase (fiancé Shawn Colley), Cassidy Mae (Derrick) Mirmohamed, and Leita Bias; 16 great-grandchildren, Dustin Hall, J.B. (Andrea) Cronin, Alissa Cronin, Zeb Simpson, Krista Rase (fiancé J.D. Sloas), Kourtney (Matt) Brown, Kyle (Melissa) Rase, Sierra Weber (fiancé Jacob Griffin), Skyler Weber, Hannah Clemons, Noah Clemons, Blake Adkins, Baylee Adkins, Cohen Thomas, Remy Paul Mirmohamed, and Presley Jane Boggs; 12 great-great grandchildren Cayden, Carson, Ava, Emelia, Jaxee, Dalton, Kenzie, Christopher Hayes, Brantley, Adalynn, Cobe and baby Anderson on the way. Mae was the heart of our family. She will truly be missed and while our sorrows on earth are many, we rejoice in knowing she is with her loved ones who have passed before her and at peace with her heavenly father.
