Obituary

Marjorie Ann Tackett, 75 of Piketon passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at her residence. She was born November 30, 1947 in Chesapeake, a daughter of the late Franklin, Sr. and Crystal Ellis Biggs and was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Crystal Blanton (Tony Finley), Nancy Horne (Richard Davis), Gladys Neely; three step children, Amy Jo Tatum, Tommy Tackett, Richie Ostrander; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Franklin (Tina) Biggs and their children, Angie Biggs, Franklin Biggs, III; three sisters-in-law, Doris Ann Crabtree, Kay Kuhn, and Brenda Biggs; four brothers-in-laws, Vernom Perkison, Russell Tackett, Sam Tackett and David Tackett, and several nieces and nephews who loved her very much.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Henry Kirk, her second husband, Thomas Tackett; her youngest daughter, Mary Ruth Kirk; her brothers and sisters, Carl Biggs, Rose & Leonard Blanton, Marie & Bobby Ater, Clifford & Caroline Biggs, Alfreda & Clyde Williamson, John & Catherine Biggs, Nancy & Bill May, and, Arnold Biggs, and three sisters-in-laws, Gladys Tackett, Mary Nicely, and Bertha Tackett.

Graveside services will be conducted at Noon Friday, February 24, 2023 at Denver Chapel Cemetery in Waverly with her nephew, Timothy Stapleton officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
