Mary Jane Dever, 78, of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth. Born December 19, 1937 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Elmer and Betsy Bushman Boggs, she was a homemaker, an aide at SOMC and attended Scioto Christian Church. She is survived by three sons, Carl L. (Kim) Dever, Jr. of Lucasville, Glenn C. Dever of Wheelersburg, and Brian (Melinda) Dever of Wheelersburg; one daughter, Sherri Hale of Sciotoville; nine grandchildren, Eric (Sharon) Smith, Christy Smith, Jordan Nicholle Dever, Nathan Carl Dever, Kala Dever, Errinn Jade Dever, Danielle Olivia Dever, Madison Alexandria Dever, and Breanna Kylee Dever; five great grandchildren, Adam Ball, Catelynn Ball, Jessee Ramey, Joey Ramey, and Bayah Barnett, and two sisters, Debra (Ken) Watson of Wheelersburg and Kathy Roush of Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Dever, Sr. on November 29, 2003 whom she married August 1, 1954; one son, Bradley K. Dever; one grandson, Kyle Charles Dever; one brother, Elmer Boggs, and one sister, Patricia Carver.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Brian Enz officiating.
